Opportunity Knocks

Opportunity Knocks

The municipality of Clarington and Durham Region has been handed a unique opportunity. Council recently declared that they wanted to increase tourism to Clarington, and that was one of their major goals. Well now they have an opportunity. With news back in June that Mosport International Raceway had been purchased from billionaire Dr. Don Panoz by CMV consisting of Alan Boughton, billionaire Carlo Fidani, and Canadian racing legend Ron Fellows.

It`s no secret that Mosport is the biggest tourist draw to the Durham region and Clarington. IT`s also no secret that business loves when Mosport has big events because it fills up hotel rooms and restaurants and creates business big and small throughout the municipality.

CMV has announced that they have big intentions when it comes to Mosport from attracting more events and making many improvements throughout the various facilities that now number four tracks at the raceway.

If are small thinking politicians can get beyond there yester year thinking they have been presented with a unique once in a life time opportunity to put Clarington on the map and increase tourism so much that every business can benefit throughout Clarington and Durham.

When CMV comes knocking we hope that Foster and gang will be listening intently because Mosport can do more in one weekend then the rest of their weak attempts at attracting tourists do all year.

Opportunity knocks, who answering the door.
